Additional Information Donald McInnes was first reported missing as at 19 July 1916.  Donald's wife, Minnie sent many letters seeking her husband's whereabouts.  Finally a Court of Enquiry on 29 August 1917 found he had been killed in action, presumed buried in no-mans land. He attended Central State School, Williamstown and his name appears on the North Williamstown Presbyterian Church (now St Stephens). Parents: Mr and Mrs Angus Bruce McInnes, John St, North Williamstown. Daughter: Enid Brothers: Robert McInnes (3828), enlisted July 1915, Norman John McInnes (3407), enlisted July 1915; returned to Australia April 1919; Alexander McInnes (27491), enlisted May 1916, returned to Australia June 1919.
