There is a note on Clarence's service records that Williamstown Town Clerk had requested the date of his death. Australian War Memorial Photo P00545.044 is of Clarence Gardiner's grave in Malta. Brother: Herbert George Gardiner (1007), enlisted Welborough, Tasmania in May 1915, KIA October 1917 (not on Williamstown Town Hall Honour Board)
