Additional Information Sydney Easton attended Kangaroo Point School, Brisbane, Queensland. Syd, as he was known, was advancing near Lihons, carrying a machine gun when he was hit by machine gun bullets in the abdomen.  He was taken to the 8th Australian Field Ambulance where he died at 8.30am.
